The product, in the report: Marco gas-log fireplace insert
In the winter of 2006 (I purchased my home in 2005), I decided to turn on my gas-log fireplace. After hours of enjoying the warmth, I was headed to bed and turned it off, but the logs were fully ignited, so waited about 30 minutes to see if the fire would “die” down. Since it would not, my husband and I quickly responded by using 2 fire extinguishers to turn it off.
I just realized that these inserts had been recalled, but a few years ago, a HVAC tech. commented that my fireplace was dangerous.
