The product, in the report: Lennox Montebello 40 LSM 40EN-2 Sealed glass direct vent propane fireplace.

Lennox fireplace Montebello 40 LSM 40EN-2 Serial # 6410A72298. House built with this fireplace in 2010. It worked fine for years and only had occasional use. Christmas 2024 it exploded and was a pretty big fire outside of the sealed direct vent fireplace. Fortunately we were right there at the time and were able to quickly turn off the gas. Within a few seconds all the controls, valves and electrical wire were melted. Called Lennox and since the serial number isn’t registered as a recall they won’t do anything but refer to a plumber.
