The product, in the report: Built-in gas fireplace
On December 21st at approximately 6:00 pm my Travis Industries Gas Fireplace model 34DVL exploded with a tremendous bang, shattering it’s “tempered” glass front and sending hundreds of pieces of glass all around my living room. Less than 1 hour previous, my 2 month old granddaughter had been sleeping in a baby seat within five feet of the fireplace. There is no doubt that she would have been severely injured had she been there at the time of the explosion.
