The product, in the report: TAOTAO 110cc (red) ATV
We purchased a TAO-TAO ATV 110cc from [REDACTED] sports in [REDACTED] (manufactured in Texas) in June of 2011. We have had nothing but trouble since the first 2 weeks of owning it. First a starter switch went out on it within the first 2 weeks of owning it then the brake bracket broke and the motor mount brackets broke. We took it back to [REDACTED]sports and after arguing with them for a few weeks they contacted the Manufacturer in Texas and decided to replace it. We received a new one on September 9th, 2011. My grandson rode it for about 2 weeks ( just in our yard not on rough terrain), and the motor mounts broke on the new machine. We decided to not even deal with [REDACTED] again not only because we had a hard time getting help the last time, but because they are over 100 miles from us as well. We had a cousin who is a certified welder weld it for us and since has broken is a few more places and had to be welded, including the frame and the steering column. We keep welding whatever breaks and it just breaks in a new place after he rides it one or 2 times in our yard as I say, which isn’t rough terrain. When the steering column broke it was lucky he wasn’t going very fast or he could have been seriously hurt or even killed by it. I think this product is of poor quality and should be pulled off the market until they can use better steel at least (the certified welder said it was very inferior metal). I also would like to say working with [REDACTED] and the Manufacturer has been nothing but a big headache. The machine has had more miles in the back of a truck taking it back and forth to them then it has been ridden. I don’t even want the machine anymore I would like my money back for the cost of the machine and the gas going back and forth to [REDACTED]. We even rented a [REDACTED] once to bring it down to them, which cost us over 200 dollars for just the rental of it, plus the gas we put in it to get the machine down there.
thank you for your time Sincerely [REDACTED]
