The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Sep 29, 2026, sent to the company Oct 6, 2026, published by CPSC Oct 21, 2026

The product, in the report: 2024 Suzuki four-wheel all-terrain vehicle (ATV), model LT-A750XPM4, with a 722 cc single-cylinder engine. Purchased new for off-highway use. It was parked in an attached garage and was not being operated when the fire occurred on May 25, 2026.

On May 25, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a fire involving my Suzuki ATV occurred while it was parked in the attached garage of my home in Alaska. No one was operating the ATV when the fire occurred. I suspect the fire originated in the ATV, but the specific ignition cause has not been established. The fire damaged the garage, vehicles, tools, and other personal property. Smoke spread throughout the home, leaving it uninhabitable and forcing my family to relocate. My children evacuated the home, and family members experienced smoke exposure. No medical treatment was received. The ATV was purchased new. The only modification was slightly larger tires. I provided the fire marshals report to Suzuki and cooperated with its investigation. Suzuki arranged an inspection and later informed me by telephone that its inspector could not identify a defect that would cause a fire. That response did not establish what caused the fire. I am reporting this incident because of the serious fire hazard, smoke exposure, extensive property damage, and concern about the safety of an ATV catching fire while parked and not being operated.

The product, in the report: Suzuki kingquad 750 with power steering red color low miles

I was riding my 2017 Suzuki kingquad 750 and noticed it would randomly shut off. So I did a little research asked a couple people that had the same issue and talked to some dealers and there response was some random another ground wire for the fix. So I was riding another day and my son was riding behind me we were going through the woods down a hill then my atv shut off causing me to jam my ribs on the handlebars and him running into the back of me on his quad.i got it back home and looked at it and noticed it shut off when I turned my handlebars so I dug a little deeper and notice when I put pressure on something under the plastic and front rack it would shut off.something so dangerous Suzuki should look into instead of saying try to just add a ground wire instead of the actual fix

The product, in the report: Suzuki LTZ400K9 This is the ltz 400 quad sport with fuel injection made by Suzuki in 2009.

On July 6th 2011my son and his friend and me had been out riding for quite a while when I attempted to go up a hill on my LTZ 400. While climbing the hill the quad seemed to run out of power and stall. When this happened the quad flipped over landing on top of me and then preceded to roll the rest of the way down the hill causing significant damage to the quad and myself. My son and his friend came up the hill and helped me down to the bottom of the hill. I had significant contusions to my lower back and legs. After getting home my lower back had begun to swell making it very difficult to walk. At that time we decided that it would be best to go to the emergency room. By the time I got there I had numbness in my legs. I had a Cat scan and multiple ex rays and it was determined that I should stay over night. I was released the next day; however, I am a kidney transplant patient and in October I went into rejection. I have had several doctors tell me since then that there is a very good chance that the trauma of the accident caused the rejection. It was not until recently when I was looking online at ATV Connection that I saw that there was a recall on the LTZ 400 which is why I am now reporting this incident.

The product, in the report: 2005 Suzuki LT-A700XK5 KING QUAD

I was driving my 2005 Suzuki LT-A700XK5 KING QUAD back to my house from the 100 acres of farm land I own. The machine died while I was driving at a very slow pace of about 15 – 20 MPH. As I attempted to diagnose what the issue was smoke begin to emerge from under the seat by the battery casing. In a matter of about a minute there were flames coming from the same location on the machine. I attempted to put the fire out by tossing dirt on the machine, However in a matter of minutes the machine was engulfed in flames!!! The machine completely burned up and I was lucky to get away from fire as I have a spinal cord injury and have difficulty walking.

My concern is that after doing some research on recalls there appears to have been fire hazard reports with other Suzuki models, however I did not see any recalls for this model. I’m lucky that I escaped the fire and was able to distance myself from the machine! There is obviously a defect with this machine as I have never done any modifications, repairs, or anything else to this machine and always cared for it with great detail.
