  1. No one hurt

Made Sep 9, 2026, sent to the company Sep 14, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 28, 2026

The product, in the report: The product is a 2026 CFMOTO CFORCE 1000 Overland all-terrain vehicle purchased new from Grapevine Powersports. [REDACTED] Exterior color Forest Green This is a full-size two-passenger gasoline-powered recreational and utility ATV. It is designed for off-road riding, transportation on private property, hauling equipment, and towing. The vehicle is approximately 92 inches long, 50 inches wide, and 53 inches high. It has a 58-inch wheelbase and 11.8 inches of ground clearance. Its approximate dry weight is 975 pounds. It has a 963 cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected V-twin gasoline engine producing approximately 84 horsepower. It has an automatic transmission with high range, low range, and reverse. It also has selectable two wheel drive and four wheel drive with a front differential lock. The ATV has 27-inch CST tires mounted on 14-inch aluminum wheels. It also has hydraulic disc brakes, independent front and rear suspension, front and rear cargo racks, rear storage, a receiver hitch, LED lighting, a windshield, and seating for two people. The fuel capacity is approximately 6.9 gallons. The rated towing capacity is approximately 1800 pounds. This unit was one of three matching CFMOTO CFORCE 1000 Overland ATVs purchased at the same time. It was recently purchased, had not been modified, and was being operated normally for recreational use on private property when the fire occurred.

On September 6, 2026, at approximately 2:39 p.m., my son was operating a recently purchased 2026 CFMOTO CFORCE 1000 Overland on private property in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The ATV was being operated normally and in the same manner as the other two identical ATVs purchased at the same time from Grapevine Powersports. While the vehicle was in motion, witnesses noticed flames coming from the rear section and immediately alerted my son. He was able to stop the ATV and get off safely before the fire spread.

No one was injured. However, the ATV sustained extensive fire damage. We have photographs and videos documenting the incident, the fire, and the resulting damage.

The ATV had been purchased only recently and had not been modified or misused. We are requesting a complete investigation to determine the cause of the fire and appropriate resolution of this claim.

The product, in the report: Gray 2021 CFMOTO CFORCE 800xc, 4-wheeler ATV

On 07/19/2026 I was out riding my 2021 CFMOTO CFORCE 800xc with friends. The electronic power steering (eps) began to start making an electronic grinding noise when turning. Shortly after the eps had failed it force my handle and wheels to the right and caused the atv to tip on its left side causing me to fly off and sustain injuries to my forearm and shin. The injuries included being scratched on my forearm and shin.

While I was driving the CFMOTO Cforse 800 XC DRaging the horse arena, the steering locked up. I couldn’t turn the ATV. I shut the ATV off and inspected the steering mechanism. The problem was in the electronics. I pulled the fuse and I could steer manually. The ATV is very hard to steer manually

The product, in the report: CF MOTO 600 touring edition

Our ATV was in our back yard . we were inside getting ready for bed . Our daughter heard a loud bang from the back yard that frightened her as our dogs were outside as well . We opened the back door to find our ATV engulfed in flames . We re very thankful no one was on it at the time .The ATV had not been running for 2 months . We had the cylanoid replaced in November of ‘22 . It ran for 1 day for an hour or so , then wouldn’t crank again . We replaced the battery on 04/20/23 . Still would not crank . We had made plans to return it to the shop for further evaluation and repairs . What do we do with this ? Something caused the ATV to explode . The fire department is doing no further investigation as there is no insurance claim to file . How do we find out what caused this and make sure it doesn’t happen to someone else , possibly with injuries ?

The product, in the report: 2020 CFMoto CForce 600 Touring ATV - 4 wheeler

The 2020 CFMoto CForce 600 Touring ATV was being driven down a dirt road roughly going 25 MPH with a single driver. On a straight portion of the road, in anticipation of going around a blind curve up ahead, the ATV foot pedal was pressed with slight pressure to slow the ATV down. Instead of applying an equal amount of gentle stopping force, the ATVs rear wheels locked up causing the ATV’s rear wheels to lose traction and it began to slid sideways. The front wheels then found traction which caused the ATV to roll, throwing me from it. I was not expecting such an abrupt stop from the slight pressure applied to the brake. If I had firmly or even moderately pressed the brake pedal hard, I would expect the rear wheels to lock up. This was not the case and resulted in an accident and injury.
