The product, in the report: Marker Kingpin 13 Ski Bindings
Whilst skiing in Aspen I sustained a compression fracture of the tibial plateau as a result of a toe pin breaking on a pair of Marker King Pin Bindings. This caused me to fall resulting in the injury sustained. This injury has required surgery and will have a 6 month recovery period.
These bindings are subject to a product recall but I had not been notified by either Marker or their dealer of the recall. The recall is posted on the Marker website.
The Marker website still states, as of 5 March 2019, that no injuries have been sustained as a result of this product fault. I informed Marker in the USA and several other locations of my injury on 12th January 2019. No correction has been posted or any other remedial action proposed by Marker.
