The product, in the report: Look SPX 12 Ski Binding
I experienced a premature heel release from both of my new Look SPX 12 bindings on the first ski run with the new bindings. The double premature heel release caused me to fall forward and I dislocated my shoulder and broke my arm.. The fall was witnessed and reported to the [REDACTED] Ski Patrol. The bindings were mounted by [REDACTED] in Wheatridge, Colorado. The DIN was 7, the forward pressure was correct and the ski boot soles were clean.
I am aware there was a Look binding safely recall last year due to premature heel release creating a fall and injury hazard. I am a professional skier having been member of the National Ski Patrol for 40 years, This was unequivocally a heel binding prerelease malfunction of the defective product.
