  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Purchased from Walmart Sushine 25 inch baby float Ladybug-M-P05-0138-B

We purchased this Sunshine 25 inch baby float Ladybug-M-P05-0138-B on 6/22/2013 for my 1 1/2 year old to use in a kiddie pool no more than 3 feet deep. Followed all preparations and as soon as we placed him in it, he was ok, but within mere minutes, he fell over legs still in the leg loops head in the water!! Thank god we were close by. and Immediately grabbed him! VERY concerned. We had 5 adults by him in the pool and 2 adults out of the pool that witnessed this and all of us were appalled! had we been further away or not paying complete attention he would have drowned. It is NOT for 1-2 years old as box states! This item need to be discontinued IMMEDIATELY. We do not want this to happen to any other child. My 5 year old, his older sister couldn’t sleep and is traumatized and said she never wants to go swimming again because she fears her baby brother will drown! Contacted Walmart and did not get a response back.

  2. No one hurt

The product, in the report: My Sun Shine Baby Buggy Float with Sun canopy. Float made for ages 1-2. Looks like bumble bee or ladybug. Float has leg holes for little ones legs to fit through so they don’t fall through

My husband and I bought the float for our 13 month old daughter. We returned it the next day because it wouldn’t stay upright while she was in it. If she moved, or you took one of your hands of it, she would tip forward. If she reached for something, it would tip forward. We were terrified she would drown. The way the seat is made is a flat piece of plastic with two leg holes in it. This caused her to sit on the float more than in it. I believe this is why it tips so bad. If someone had turned away to grab something would have very easily drowned. When I returned it today, the lady at the service desk at Wal-mart said that several other people had complained of the same problem when they returned theirs as well. I know it says on the box that it is not a life saving device, however a parent should not have to keep both hand on he float at all times for their child to be safe.

I tried to contact the manufacturer but I have been unable to find any kind of contact information for this manufacturer.
