No one hurt Made Feb 19, 2026, sent to the company Feb 25, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 11, 2026
The product, in the report: Product Type: Exercise Equipment / Spin Bike Manufacturer: Yesoul Fitness Model Name: G1M Plus Serial Number (S/N): BG1MPLUSTK01D703145 [REDACTED] Delivery Date: January 10, 2025
1. Product Identification Product Type: Exercise Equipment / Spin Bike Manufacturer: Yesoul Fitness Model Name: G1M Plus Serial Number (S/N): BG1MPLUSTK01D703145 [REDACTED] Delivery Date: January 10, 2025 2. Description of Incident and Hazard Incident Date: Approximately February 8, 2026. Description of Incident: While I was actively riding the bike, the internal tension pulley mechanism suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure. A loud “snap” occurred, followed by an immediate and total loss of pedal resistance. The mechanical failure was contained within the protective housing that wraps around the drive belt. Upon removing this casing to investigate the failure, the shattered internal components and ball bearings from the pulley fell out onto the floor. Safety Hazard: The sudden mechanical snap and loss of resistance while under load creates an immediate risk of the rider losing balance or slipping off the pedals, which can lead to injury. Furthermore, the total disintegration of the pulley assembly during normal use suggests a significant defect in the durability or material integrity of a critical moving part. 3. History of Manufacturer Contact I have made multiple attempts to resolve this with Yesoul Fitness with no success: Initial Tickets: I opened multiple support tickets with no response. Social Media Escalation: Only after posting the issue on [REDACTED] did the company contact me via email. Manufacturer Response: In their email, they acknowledged the part was likely the tension pulley and requested my S/N and model. After I provided these details, they informed me I would have to pay for the replacement part, claiming the bike was out of warranty. Current Status: Since that exchange, the company has ceased all communication. I sent a final follow-up on February 18, 2026, notifying them of my intent to file this report, but I have received no reply. The bike remains inoperable and dangerous.
