I was using the UREVO under desk treadmill model # UR9TM0011 when suddenly the motor went to maximum speed and sent me off the treadmill. I twisted my ankle and manged my knee. However, the injury could have been much worse. The product usually limits its speed to a maximum of 3.6mph but now if the unit has any power going to it the motor runs at full speed no matter what.

The product, in the report: UREVO folding treadmill for home, under desk, electric treadmill workout running machine, 2.5 HP portable compact treadmill, with 12 pre-set programs and 16.5 in wide treadbelt.
Bought a treadmill. It came with a magnetic key on a red string with a clip at the other end. The treadmill is not supposed to function unless the magnetic key is in place on the treadmill console. The clip is meant to be clipped to the user, with the idea of being that if the user falls or gets too far from the treadmill, it would pull the magnetic key away from the console which in turn would turn off the treadmill. The magnetic key portion is a small, red plastic piece with a small magnet glued inside an indentation. I was using my treadmill with the clip attached to my t-shirt, and I stumbled and took a step away from the treadmill. The magnetic safety key came apart in that the magnet stayed attached to the console of the treadmill while the plastic part attached to the string came away from the magnet. Thus, the treadmill did not turn off as it was supposed to in a situation like that; it continued to run just as normal. Since that incident, the treadmill will operate normally with just the magnet attached to the console, and without the safety magnetic switch attached in any way.
