The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: TRX Tactical Suspension Trainer

I was using my TRX Tactical Suspension Trainer, doing YLTW rows when the adjustment buckle snapped causing me to fall hard to the concrete. I contacted TRX to discuss, but have been completely ignored to this point. Upon searching [REDACTED] for information, I found this recall, and realized that my unit was definitely one of the recall ones, and that I had never been contacted to repair/replace this unit. I bought directly from their website, I cannot remember when, but it was definitely before 2007, because I used it on deployment that year. I am still waiting some sort of resolution from TRX / Training Anywhere.

  5. First aid

Made Jun 25, 2014, sent to the company Jul 3, 2014, published by CPSC Jul 25, 2014

The product, in the report: this is a “professional” model of the TRX, black and yellow, it came in a mesh bag with all the attachments for attaching the product to doors and other secure hooks.

We have a professional TRX suspension trainer device that we have been using since approx 2007. We had it connected in our usual fashion and was performing the workout in a pull up position when the left buckle broke sending my wife to the ground sustaining damage to both of her elbows, (that is the only visible injury). She was very lucky that is all that has happened as she fell straight back on to a concrete surface, missing other objects. She relies on this product for rehab training as she had a giant cell tumor in her right wrist and the surgeons had to harvest donor bone from her right hip. Just after finally getting over the idea of the TRX coming lose or disconnecting, this metal piece fails. We purchased the TRX sometime between 2006 to mid 2008 and have used it very frequently. I am sending you this report as a result of your recall notice on the web site for TRX suspension trainer and asking for any other incidents.
