The product, in the report: Treadmill
The treadmill operates 43% faster than the speed listed on the display. NOTE: The treadmill also has a Console Serial# 25-C71600189H. The consumer calibrated the treadmill by tapping the symbol 10 times (per mfr. instructions). He went through the calibration process 3 different times and afterwards, the calibration got worse. He had the treadmill set for 12.5 miles per hour, but it operated at a speed of approximately 17 miles per hour. • The consumer used 2 [REDACTED] Watches and an [REDACTED] Watch to analyze the treadmill, and it consistently operated 5 miles faster than the display reading. • He also ran an A.I. analysis of the issue: The speed sensor and motor control (which came pre-calibrated from the factory) is probably defective. The consumer contacted the manufacturer to report the issue and spoke with them several times. He was repeatedly told that he did not calibrate the treadmill correctly. The dealer wanted the consumer to use Go Configure to assemble his treadmill, but he used a different technician, who has extensive experience with servicing treadmills. When the consumer approached the dealer about the issue, their argument was that he did not use their recommended technician. He paid almost $6,000.00 for the treadmill.
