As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.
The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Sole Fitness treadmill F63
While using an 11 month old Sole Treadmill model #63, the unit froze, began smoking and flames came out of motor enclosure. Wiring was on fire. I had to quickly unplug and throw a bucket of water at the flames. I was on a concrete floor. The results on a carpeted floor could have been catastrophic. This is a dangerous product. I reported incident to Sole immediately. They seem to care little if at all.

The product, in the report: SOLE Treadmill Model T80
The T80 SOLE Treadmill has a bottom lever that is held in place by a [REDACTED] strap. The entire unit is packaged and covered in plastic. When I removed the plastic, I found a yellow caution tag that informs you that the belt/strap holds a mechanism that would “Snap” open if removed and hit placed on its side. The unit is very heavy 350-400 lbs. As I removed the boxes and plastic I moved the unit to my tailgate and onto the garage floor. In doing this the strap came loose on its own.
If anyone would have been holding on in the area of question they would have been seriously insured. I was aware of the problem and was looking for this spring loaded feature to happen.
If this was a young member or woman that wanted to get the unit setup and decided to take this on by them self would be dangerous.
I feel the product needs more safety into the unpacking and setup stage to prevent a serious injury to the customer or setup individual.

No one hurt Made May 4, 2018, sent to the company Jul 13, 2018, published by CPSC Jul 27, 2018
The product, in the report: Sole F60 treadmill.
I was using the Sole F60 treadmill in my garage when the screen flickered and treadmill abruptly stopped while in use. I unplugged and noticed popping sounds and white smoke coming from motor area. Within 1 to 2 minutes a fire erupted and fully engulfed our garage. All personal belongings were lost and garage structure was severely damaged. The product was being used in a normal way. I am filing this report because this was a malfunction of treadmill that should not have happened and caused me and my family emotional distress over this incident.

No one hurt Made Aug 29, 2016, sent to the company Sep 7, 2016, published by CPSC Sep 21, 2016
The product, in the report: Sole F60 Treadmill. It has a digital interface and has the ability to incline. Has multiple speeds.
I’m having a huge safety issue where within months, two (2) motor control boards with minimum use on my Sole F60 Treadmill has caught on fire. The first motor control board caught on fire and there was burnt damage on the motor control circuit board. This board was simply replaced with a new one. Within a month and half the new motor control board caught on fire. This is the second time a motor control board has caught on fire and there was significantly more burnt damage to the circuit board.
I have gotten to the point where I feel the Sole treadmill is no longer safe. I can keep replacing these motor control boards, however there is a huge fear of my safety of my home and my family that lives in it. After all there already has been two (2) fire hazards directly caused by the Sole product, with normal use.
I have contacted Sole and shared pictures with them and they did not want to help with this safety issue.
