The product, in the report: TRX Rip Trainer
Was at NRG Lab in Mansfield MA using a TRX Rip Trainer. I was doing a reverse curl exercise with the devise (metal bar attached to a resistance elastic band) and as I was pulling the bar towards me, it came apart and the force of the resistance band swung the bar back into my face. It hit me on the bridge of my nose. My nose was broken and the metal edge lacerated my eye lid resulting in several stitches to close the gash. I have been diagnosed with a concussion and have been on a protocol for 2 weeks. I have 2 more weeks to go. The gym claims the bar malfunctioned and they have contacted TRX in CA. They have yet to hear back from TRX. I am reporting this in hopes that TRX will notify its buyers of the product to examine it closely for any defects, My guess is I will not hear from TRX but wanted to report this incident regardless. Thank you.
