First aid Made Feb 8, 2024, sent to the company Apr 20, 2026, published by CPSC May 4, 2026
The product, in the report: A long, large diameter black rubber band with 2 large red & black handles that fit over each end of the band. It is used to do arm curls by standing on the middle of the band with both feet, in shoes, and pulling the 2 handles up to your chest in an arm curl motion.
An exercise band that includes 2 handles failed and snapped at a handle, causing the large, heavy diameter rubber band-like end to shoot at high velocity and just miss my eye, causing a very hard impact on my forehead. The band was bought at a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in San Diego County.
