The product, in the report: LifeSpan Stretch Partner Pro SP 1000

My husband using this exercise machine at home as described on directions with pictorial on machine handlebars; he has owned the product for about 6 yrs , first used it at gym in Ann Arbor where he was working; he was doing the abdominal stretch exercise where he lies back over seat ( which can pivot back ) with arms over head , and * safety instruction note says to “keep feet under front of machine do you won’t fall backwards”. This was part of exercise routine he did several times a week for many months - this time , his left foot slipped ( no foot straps nor foot plates on machine ) and he was propelled backward slamming his neck , brachial plexus into floor , could not move . He dislocated and fractured C5/6 both posterior and anterior , incredible pain - luckily I was home and he was able to call out from basement - emergency services transported him within minutes to a trauma level one center where he underwent surgery within a few hours and hopeful of a complete recovery after a long rehab period ahead - I would like to get this machine recalled and or taken out of service everywhere so no one else has this experience

UPDATED ON 6/15/2023: [I’m informing you that this same machine with description of dangerous abdominal stretch except use is still being sold!! This is how my husband was injured - no straps or footholds for feet - very dangerous, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET THIS OFF THE MARKET - and his to safely get rid of one we still have!!]
