The product, in the report: Fitnation elliptical stepper with a seat Model YBE5H

The consumer stated that she received the product in March, 2021 as a gift The product had to be assembled. The consumer assembled the stepper following the directions to make sure all the bolts and screws were tighten as instructed.

On 4/2/2021, the consumer was sitting on the seat using the stepper. She heard a ratchet sound coming from the product. The seat went from horizontal to vertical which caused the consumer to land on the ground on her back.

The consumer had to go to her chiropractor the next day because the fall had caused her back to twist out of alignment.

The consumer stated that there is a design flaw in the product. She tried to re-create what had happened by putting the seat back on and moving the seat back and forth as if someone was sitting on it. About the third or fourth time of moving the seat, she heard the ratchet sound again and the bolts had loosened.

The consumer contacted the firm’s customer service line at 833-937-2453. The incident information and pictures were provided.
