Emergency room Made Aug 3, 2015, sent to the company Aug 11, 2015, published by CPSC Sep 1, 2015
The product, in the report: Body-Fit stability ball. Grey color.
I was using a Body Fit stability ball, sold by Sports Authority. I was laying flat on my back doing dumbbell presses, with 30 lb dumbbells. I have done this exercise numerous times, in the past, with no incident. My weight is 190 lbs. Without warning, the ball popped like a balloon. I immediately fell to the floor and my elbows hit the floor, with the dumbbells still in my hands. The weight of the dumbbell snapped my right wrist and I had three fractures. I am now in a cast, for the next 5-7 weeks.
