The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Swim googles for children. I don’t have the packaging any more. Here is the link to the product on the manufacturer’s website: http://www.tyr.com/shop/charactyrs-happy-whale.html
Hello, we recently purchased a pair of “Kids’ CharacTYR Happy Whale Goggles” from the sports company TYR. After about a week of use my 5-yr-old daughter began to complain about pain around her eyes. After unsuccessfully experimenting with the fit of the goggles, my husband and I tried the goggles ourselves and both experienced an intense burning sensation within a minute of putting them on. The burning feeling persisted for at least 15 minutes after removing the goggles. The “Happy Whale” goggles have black gaskets (I don’t know what the material is). We own another pair of goggles from the same product line, “Happy Fish,” which have clear gaskets and have not caused any problems. We guess that the black gaskets are somehow reacting with our sunscreen or pool chemicals. Thank you, [REDACTED]
