The product, in the report: Old Navy Superman toddler boy swim trucks, size 5T
While on vacation, we took our 5 year old son swimming in the pool. He was wearing a pair of toddler Superman swim trunks purchased at Old Navy in Colorado in 2015. When we returned to our hotel room to change, he began screaming in pain.
The interior front lining of the swimsuit was made of a mesh material with small holes. When he tried to remove the swim trunks, the skin from his penis became stuck in the small holes, strangulating it. We tried for an hour to remove the suit by cutting it off with scissors with no success. The pain he suffered was unbearable. We finally requested the hotel to call the paramedics. By the time the paramedics arrived, my son was relaxed enough that his penis somehow became disentangled. He suffered abrasions as a result and was sore, but was luckily physically ok. He did not want to swim again; however, we found other swimsuits that had mesh lining with no small holes.
