The product, in the report: I own two FitRx SmartBell Quick-Select Adjustable Dumbbells, Model 8361, serial numbers KK241038361 and KK241228361. Both are outside the serial-number ranges currently listed under CPSC Recall 26-431, but they are experiencing the same plate-detachment hazard described in the recall. The weights sometimes will not release properly from the storage base. When the dumbbell is lifted, weight plates can unexpectedly detach and fall from the handle. I have stopped using them due to the risk of injury. I am reporting this because the affected serial-number range may not include all Model 8361 units experiencing this failure.
