Made Aug 16, 2011, sent to the company Dec 27, 2011, published by CPSC Jan 18, 2012

The product, in the report: Barbells

The consumer indicated that the seven pound bar that holds weights weighing 250 pounds is too thin to hold the weigh and while her 19 year old son was using it with the weight she noticed that the bar started to bend in the middle.

The retailer and various different retailers with the same name in different cities were contacted weeks after the failure occurred (date is unknown) and she voiced her concerns about the bar.

She was also provided the number to the headquarters of the retailer but has contacted them on numerous occassions and no one has called her back.

The consumer son still currently using the bar but now uses it with less weights.
