No one hurt Made Oct 3, 2025, sent to the company Oct 31, 2025, published by CPSC Nov 26, 2025
The product, in the report: Wybot 700 Max pool vacuum. Purchased July 5, 2023 through Amazon. WYBOT Ultimate Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner with App Setting, Lasts 180Mins, 15000mAh Wall Climbing Pool Vacuum with Strong Suction, Smart Mapping, Full-customize clean, Ideal for In-ground Pools
Hi, Would like to report that our Wybot 700 Max rechargeable pool vacuum caught fire while charging on 10/1/2025. It was indoors (in our pool shed) and caught on fire [REDACTED] in the afternoon. We were able to pinpoint this time using our security cameras. We had used the Wybot for 2 years without any issues. The fire was contained within the pool shed building (wood frame with brick exterior), but the interior contents were all lost due to the heat and smoke. We have video (exterior) of the pool shed that shows the smoke exiting the building during the event.

No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 2, 2025, sent to the company Aug 6, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 20, 2025
The product, in the report: Wybot WY100 Pro Max Pool Cleaner.
I ordered a Wybot WY100 Pro Max and used the unit for less than a year to clean my pool before the unit failed. I contacted the manufacturer whom made it a hassle to return. Suspecting it needed just a new battery, I disassembled the unit and found significant water intrusion and corrosion in the battery/circuit compartment. The gasket is still in tact but never sealed the compartment. I suspect these units are failing at a large rate and could cause electrical fires and shocks.
