The product, in the report: Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Sanitation System. Model S2-24. Part #UV35-820124. System is meant to send UV rays through the water to reduce the amount of chlorine needed in the pool.
We had a Trident Ultraviolet Sanitation System installed on our pool in 2013. This product was recalled in 2014 but we were never notified by the installer or the manufacturer. This past weekend, June 28th, 2019, the unit caught fire. We called 911 and had them put out the fire. Damage was done to all the other pool equipment including the pump, filter and heater.

The product, in the report: Paramount Trident Series 2 (UV II) Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for pools.
I have a Paramount Trident Series 2 (UV II) Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for pools that i noticed wasn’t running, and upon further investigation I noticed that the water pressure switch (Trident P/N 70-023040) was partially melted as was a nearby wire connector. Not sure why a failed water pressure switch would catch fire, but I wanted to report this since this particular make/model already had a recall (#14-173) and my particular system was manufactured shortly after the recall. I have photos if they are needed.

No one hurt Made Dec 4, 2018, sent to the company Feb 1, 2019, published by CPSC Feb 15, 2019
The product, in the report: Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for pools
The Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for pools is part of my pool equipment installed by DalPino Pools in February of 2013. The unit had a complete meltdown, which would appear to be the subject of a recall, however, the installer never notified me of the recall nor are they doing anything about the damage done by this faulty unit. Luckily, no fire was started, just a complete meltdown of the unit and water leak. It must have been an extreme fire or shock hazard.

No one hurt Made Dec 22, 2014, sent to the company Jan 5, 2015, published by CPSC Jan 20, 2015
The product, in the report: Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Water Treatment System
The product is a Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Water Treatment System. After being away from our home for a few days, I walked around back to check the pool equipment and found this product had caught on fire. It is completely destroyed and has damaged the adjacent DE filter as well. Upon doing a web search of the product, I noticed your office had directed a recall of the product in May 2014. We did not receive this recall notice for some reason.

The product, in the report: Trident Series 2 (UV II) ultraviolet sanitation system
The device was used as part of my pool equipment. No one was injured.
A neighbor knocked on our door to say our house was on fire. Fortunately, we caught it before any structural damage was done. It’s also fortunate that our home is brick. There was lots of smoke and soot on the house, most of the pool equipment was destroyed and some damage to the soffit covers.
We understand now that the UV Sanitizer has been recalled for electrical arcing/fire issues. We were not notified of the recall.
