The product, in the report: Pool drain cover purchased on Amazon.com with a listing of: “WGX1048E Pool Main Drain Cover Compatible with [REDACTED] Suction and Dual Suction Outlet, Pool Drain Cover (1 Pack).”
On May 20, 2026, I purchased a pool drain cover, Brand: SZHY-LINK, on Amazon. This drain cover does not comply with the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA)--16 C.F.R. part 1450 which incorporates by reference the entrapment protection standard of ANSI/APSP/ICC-16. 16 C.F.R. 1450.3. In particular, the drain cover is not certified and does not comply with the labeling requirements set forth in Section 8 of ANSI/ASPS/ICC-16 including but not limited to Sections 8.1.1.1, 8.1.1.2, 8.1.1.5 and 8.1.2.1 of the mandatory standard. This drain cover poses an entrapment and drowning hazard to swimmers and bathers.
