Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No incident, no one hurt

The product, in the report: Easy Pool (TM) Step Entry System by Blue Wave(R)

Pool step entry system purchased in May 2008. Part of system has deteriorated and is warrantied. The deterioration of the integrity of the system has resulted in a major safety issue in that someone could either fall through the sides of the system and/or could fall into the pool due to instability of the system. Repeated (10 phone calls, 20 emails) attempts to resolve this issue have gone without resolution. The company has charged me for parts, sent the wrong parts and then has even refused to give me a way to send these wrong parts back. Through further investigation of my own, I have found the product has been redesigned to correct this deficiency- and the warranty has now been decreased to 3 years vs. the original 5 year warranty under which I purchased this item. I feel the product was redesigned to correct the deficiency, and yet have never received any notice of this or any attempt at safety warning or recall. Company owner [REDACTED]has totally disregarded the importance of this safety issue. I have been bounced around for 2 months with no resolution despite informing them I would be contacting both you and the Better Business Bureau. My opinion is that this company “family Pool Fun” only cares about sales and then feels they have no responsibility to the warranty or safety of their products.
