The product, in the report: Go-Bowen Go Kart AKA • BigToysUSA’s “MotoTec Off Road Go Kart 48v 1000w” Model MT-GK-01 • Family Go Karts’ “GoBowen Kids Electric Go Kart” Model Go-Bowen 1000W GoKart • Electric Bike Paradise’s “MotoTec Off Road 48V/12Ah 1000W Electric Go Kart MT-GK-01”
The “Go-Bowen Go Kart” raises a front wheel in turns causing the tire to lose contact with the surface when it’s critical for directional control. This inherent design flaw is further exasperated by a problematically wide turning radius neither of which are revealed in any product literature including the “Operation Instruction” and marketing promotions where it’s described as “perfect” for pavement (road) and track use at 20 mph. This unrevealed Go-Bowen Go Kart design flaw can cause catastrophic consequences and constitutes an unacceptable misrepresentation of an unsafe product to, and for, children.
Report updated on 1/27/2023: [This go kart poses a loss of control hazard risking the life and limb of the driver and anyone nearby who would be injured as a result.]
