The product, in the report: RollR 45 Wheeled Cooler
I ordered the RovR 45 ice chest in May and used it for a week. The cooler weighs 37 pounds empty, and fully loaded with ice and food tops 60 pounds.
The handle is expandable, and similar to ones found on rolling suitcases. My experience with taking the cooler up or down stairs, loaded or empty, was the same. The weight of the cooler causes the handle to suddenly jerk to fully extended from the two section setting I was using.
Because of the weight when the cooler drops, due to the handle expanding the weight shifts affecting my balance on the stairs. I have explained this to RovR customer support as a part of a return request asking them to take a look at this unit in particular, or all of their similar units as I believe this is a safety issue and a liability for RovR.
The following are emails regarding this issue and customer reviews indicating that this is not an isolated issue.
