The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: TEC Char-Broil Grill - Model Number 463268407 - Part Number 80008993 is the one leaking the gas.

    TEC - Char-Broil Gril - Model Number - 463268407 -

The heads of the bolts are falling off the TEC Infrared Burners. They are coming off due to the heat generated by the burners themselves. The bolts fall onto the top of the TEC Burner. This is causing movement in the burners themselves. Making matters worse, the burners themselves are flaking apart allowing gas to come up in bursts. The burners will go from working fine, to having a rapid popping noise as the gas escapes from the burner in small bursts, then a flash explosion on the grill surface will shoot a flame approximately 1’x1’ across the top of the burner. The burner then blows out with the gas still flowing. The burner must be then shut off and relit. It will go back to working fine, then popping, then explosion, and blowing out.

I thought this was normal until I read the other filed complaint and spoke with where I purchased the grill.
