The product, in the report: Sonoma Platinum Edition 27” Grill with natural gas conversion kit.

I was attempting to light my Sonoma 27” Platinum Edition grill. When doing so, I noticed flames coming from the center control valve, instead of the burner. The other two valves light the burners as they should.

I removed the main burner & valve assembly (part # 40275101) to see if tightening the screws holding the valve to the manifold in place would solve the problem. It did not.

I contacted kaylamillwood@sureheat.com and explained the dangerous situation. I also attached pictures showing the valve on fire. I asked for them to send me a replacement valve & manifold assembly for no charge, as this was a very hazardous condition. Her response was, and I quote: “I do apologize sir for your inconveniences that you are having with our product.”

They want to charge me $60 plus shipping & handling for replacing the very dangerous part of their Sonoma grill.
