The product, in the report: propane gauge
(06/12/2017) The consumer was getting ready to grill. I lite the grill checked the flame, there was no flame. Turned the grill valves off and went to change the propane tank. I didn’t turn the valve off all the way on the propane tank off all the way and started to remove the hose from the grill to the propane tank. The propane started to come out of the hose and did not stop even when the hose was disconnected from the propane tank. The fumes from the propane tank built up and exploded in my face. The propane tank had fumes coming out so the fumes where lite so it was like a torch. I ran inside and my wife came out with the fire extinguisher and put the fire out. My wife the dragged the propane tank that had propane tank still coming out to the yard away from the grill and the house. I went to the local hospital (New Britain_ CT) where the had me transported to the burn center in Bridge Port, CT. I received 2nd degree burns on my left side of my chest, 3 fingers, on my left hand, the palm on my right hand, my left ear, and on my neck. I need to go to the wound center for multiple appointments after this accident.
