No one hurt Made Jul 7, 2020, sent to the company Jul 30, 2020, published by CPSC Aug 13, 2020
The product, in the report: self standing gas grill
The consumer was using the grill and approximately 20 minutes after starting it, a large flame shot from the grill. The flame shot out of the grill and through the sides of the grill, as well as down the hose to the propane tank. The consumer immediately grabbed a garden hose and sprayed water on it, to extinguish the fire. Essentially, it seemed like the entire grill was on fire before he put out the flames.
There were no injuries. The grill was near a wall of the consumer’s home and that wall was blackened by the fire.
The consumer searched on-line and found CPSC Recall# 10-043. His model matched the recall and he purchased it during the time frame listed in the recall.
He called the firm’s recall number: (888) 840-9590, a few different times, over several days, but has never been able to speak with a live person.

The product, in the report: Self standing gas grill
6/15/2020: The consumer contacted the firm, tel: (888) 840-9590, regarding CPSC recall# 10-043. This number was no longer in commission.
The consumer did a [REDACTED] search and found a number (unavailable) for the firm. The rep. that he spoke to was nice and said they no longer do business with the vendor and could not offer any assistance with this recall.
Sometime in 2019, the middle burner deteriorated and fell to the bottom inside of the grill. The other 2 burners are showing signs of deterioration. Especially the right one, which appears to be breaking apart.
Early 2020, the consumer turned the grill on and heard a hissing sound and saw that the flames from the burners shoot straight into the air. There were no injuries or property damage outside of the grill.

Hurt, no treatment Made Feb 25, 2020, sent to the company May 6, 2020, published by CPSC May 20, 2020
The product, in the report: Perfect Flame self standing gas grill Model SLG2006BN
2/16/2020: The grill was set to the “low” setting (approx. 180 degrees) and was on for approximately 5 – 10 minutes. The consumer was watching TV and saw that the grill had caught fire. The flames appeared to be going more horizontal than normal. He tried turning the gas to a lower setting, but then quickly turned the grill off and the flames died out.
NOTE: The 2 left grills were not being used at the time, but the right grills were in use.
There was no property damage. The consumer stepped on a burning ember while extinguishing the fire and sustained a 1/4” diameter burn to his left heal. He was barefoot at the time. No Rx done. The grill was used approximately once per week, during the warmer months of the year.
The consumer checked the Internet and located CPSC Recall # 10-043. However, the phone number in that recall is no longer working and the website is not active.
The consumer called the manufacturer’s Corporate Office, but their system does not accept text message or other methods of contact.
The consumer tried calling the firm listed in the recall notice 10-043: 888-840-9590, but the number did not work, nor the link to contact the firm.
I noticed flame shooting horizontally before adding meat. 5-10 minutes after adding meat the grill caught fire

The product, in the report: Perfect flame stainless steel bbq 4 burner, side burner, rotisserie
I had purchased a perfect flame model gcs3318 bbq at Costco and have only used it a few times a year tonight I was cooking a tri tip roast and the bbq caught fire, melted parts of the bbq the utensils in the drawer and dripped melted metal on my porch. It took awhile to get out I finally got the propane tank disconnected from the burning gas grill and got the fire out. This bbq has been thouroughly cleaned after each use and did not have build up or anything in it. It was so scary and dangerous I had my grandchildren here who are all toddlers and could not believe this happened. I had the bbq on Medium heat and had been keeping an eye on it. I don’t understand how this could have happened

The product, in the report: This product is a Lowe’s Perfect Flame SLG2008A propane gas grill. Purchased in May of 2009 from Lowe’s of Montoursville in Montoursville PA 17754
I have a Perfect Flame Model SLG2008A gas grill which I just found out was under a safety recall. Over our Labor day weekend I was using the gas grill and the lid caught fire. I was battling the flames first by trying to close the lid and then I tried pulling it away from my home but it had already gotten so hot that it melted the vinyl siding on my home. I was able to get it away from the home and sprayed the grill with a fire extinguisher. The fire was then put out but not before consuming the grill and destroying several layers of vinyl siding on my home.

The product, in the report: Perfect flame model GAC3615, 4 burner gas grill
Was bar-b-queing chicken hind quarters on low, right before they were finished the top of the small side of the grill ( Perfectflame model # GAC3615) seemed to explode and caught on fire. The house and deck caught on fire, my husband was able to disconnect the propane tank before it exploded also. We were able to get the BBQ grill off the deck and dragged it out to the driveway were it continued to burn, putting water on it made the flames brighter and it was difficult to put out. We are very upset our house smells like smoke inside, we had to tear our our melted and burned vinyl siding to see if there was a fire underneath and our our brand new freshly painted deck now has burn holes. Not to mention we now had no dinner. After the fire was out I called Lowes - [REDACTED] at store # 1559, said that it was not their responsibility after one year. I told her that I had talked to my son who lives in another state and he told me that they had a lot of recalls on that brand. She said they were still not responsible and gave me the number to the manufacturer.

I was grilling during the month of September 2012 in my backyard when my grill caught fire. I tried to turn the gas off but it was to no avail the fire spreaded so fast to the propane tank that there was no time to turn the knob to the propane tank off. Before you knew it the gas line, hose and the tank started to ignite. Luckily the tank was not full and the grill was far away from the house and the door to the propane tank contained the fire.
The propane tank burned for 15 to 20 minutes. I managed to keep the temperature from the propane tank down by spraying it with water from my garden hose.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame SLG 2007DN grill
Hello, This grill has been recalled. No one ever contacted me from BBQtec, the manufacturer or the vendor Lowes. It started on fire last week and almost burned down our deck. Fortunately I was on the deck visiting with my wife. It is a very dangerous product and the company needs to be forced to at least contact the customers of the product. Yes, I did register my grill with them. I have the registration paperwork as proof. When it caught fire the heat plates were also damaged. When I called I was told they were not covered in the recall only the burners were recalled. I said if I continue to use it, it would cause a fire and burn the deck down and possible my house. He said “well maybe you will be killed so you cant sue us then” I was appalled. He kept on this line of conversation and I asked to speak with a manager. Of course he said he was the manager. The call took place on 9 28 2012 at about 1:00pm Central Time. This company should not be allowed to sell product in the USA. [REDACTED] Here is a copy of what I sent to the customer service department after we spoke. My grill was recalled. It started on fire. The parts you have supplied are not sufficient to make the grill safe again. The Tents must be provided in the recall. Your customer service rep told me if i wanted to kill myself go right ahead, then I wouldnt be able to sue the company. I AM APPALLED AND YOU SHOULD BE AS WELL. I phoned Lowes and im quite sure you will never ever sell them another grill. Nor should you. I have a copy of this notification. If this grill should catch fire again and cause injury you will be sued. [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame model number 276964L sold by Lowes
I have a Perfect Flame gas grill I purchased from Lowes about 3 years ago model #276964L. For the past year, all the burners have been corroding and we get uneven gas flow. I have tried cleaning all and trying to get it to work again. When we do, it usually erupts in a big “poof” of a fireball. We have learned how to light it (the electronic spark stopped working after 6 months so we have to thorw matches at it or use an extended lighter with the lid mostly closed. On several occasions we have ended up with signed arm hairs and other less than helpful side effects. I only recently learned that the company who imported these [REDACTED] was forced to recall many models. Mine is not one of them. I have tried to replace the burners themselves but these are held in place by thick iron bars welded into the frame and thus making it impossible to change.
I suspect these are the VERY SAME BURNERS used in the recalled units. Lowes gave me the 800 number for the main company who imported this and they stated my model was not under the forced recall so I am out of luck. They gave me another number to complain but all that was buck passing back to Lowes who was the retailer of this [REDACTED] unsafe product. I do not mind changing burners but the design makes it impossible here. I have disconnected the propane tank from this thing but wish to force another investigation into this company purposely selling dangerous products and knowingly doing so. PLEASE HELP!!!

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame - Gas grill
I own a Perfect Flame gas grill (Model Number 720-0335) which was purchased in 2007. Yesterday afternoon, while cooking chicken, the cooking chamber caught on fire, which persisted despite the burners being turned off. The entire chamber was burning and melted much of the metal to include the dials. We later identified that the fire had burned through the hose connecting the tank, which is a significant explosion hazard. The fire hazard, itself, is a concern as is the potential for explosion. We had to use a fire extinguisher to stop the burning.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame 4 burner with right side additional burner. Silver with gray, drawer below the unit with double doors below that. 4X12,000 BTU w/ 12,000 BTU side burner - propane only
We own a Perfect Flame model SLG2006B outdoor gas grill. When I went to buy the grill, I went for an upper level grill, liked all the features and design of this particular grill and have been fairly happy with it until about 1 1/2 years ago, it caught on fire while we were cooking on it. Thankfully we had a fire extinguisher in the house to put it out.
Thinking that it was just too much marinade on the tenderloin and aluminum foil that aided in it catching on fire, I took the unit apart, cleaned it, replaced 1 bad burner, replaced the burner covers and put it back into action. Then, on Fathers Day, my daughter went out to start warming up the grill. Again, it caught on fire, this time with no food on it at all. The thermostat registered over 800 degrees. This time, I used the dogs watering bucket that happened to be sitting on the deck to drown out the flames. (Getting a little tired of having to put out flames and clean this grill!) So, I called the company today, read off the grill numbers, asked if she wanted me to read her the serial numbers - she said, that’s not necessary. We will send you new burners, you just pay for the shipping. How much is the shipping, I asked? 29.95. Really - from the reviews that I have been watching and finding on the internet - they want to charge another $30.00 to send you replacement parts b/c they have defective ones?
Come on... This is a grill with propane and flames. They are really lucky that the grill did not catch totally on fire, burn up, burn up my deck, explode the propane and wipe out my family and house. And their response is, we will ship you new burners for $30.00? I just went out and tested my grill. 2 burners are cracked, a 3rd now not working, the flames got so hot that it is now causing the controller on the left hand side to not release, therefore keeping the ignition flame going until you pull the controller back. The racks are now rusted out b/c of the heat and all of my coverings are shot. Oh, but I could just pay another 12.95 for each heat plate.
So, in order for me to get this grill back up and running - 4 free burners, but $30.00 in shipping, 4 heat shields at 12.95 each = $51.80, the grill racks - over $100, new burner for left hand side control unit - would guess anywhere from $25-$45. So, for about $225 - $250 I could correct this issue, get my grill back up and running - and possibly use it again. HMMMMM. Why would I trust that this would fix the problem and not catch on fire again?
I am just so thankful that nobody got hurt during either one of these fires and that my house is still in tact. Also, that my wife and I have been around during BOTH of these episodes. What would have happened if one of my kids decided to grill something - even though they are young teens - I would have lost everything, house and family included. And the companies response is... we will give you the burners, but you have to pay for the shipping. Sorry, but that just [REDACTED}me off - It should be, hey, we are glad that everyone is o.k. We had a recall on those units, we will be more than happy to either replace your grill with another one that we have or if you would rather continue to use that grill, we will make it right.
What ever happened to a company doing the right thing? After 2 fires, I would rather recycle that grill in the scrap yard and get what I can out of it before I buy any more parts for it.
Here’s a recommendation - [REDACTED]. That’s Right! They know how to make grills that don’t catch on fire and burn up!

The grill was being used to cook meat and during cooking, the grill caught fire in the upper & lower chambers. The fire was shooting out of the back & sides of the grill. The fire needed to be put out with a fire extinguisher & water and was very close to being an emergency situation because we had trouble putting out the fire. There were no injuries or damage to home, but the grill is most likely ruined.

The product, in the report: Propane Grill Perfect Flame Double Lid Four Burner Gas Grill model GAC3615
Like many others that purchased the Perfect Flame Double Lid Four Burner Gas, model GAC3615, we also experienced this product burst into flame and engulf the entire cooking chamber exactly as described by the other complaints, with flame involving both interior and exterior surfaces. In our circumstance this dangerous event has now occurred three times. This grill is manufactured by Lucas Innovation Inc., of China, distributed by BBQTEK Enterprise, Inc. and sold exclusively by Lowes is apparently incredibly dangerous.
At first it was presumed a cooking error had been committed, however after the third occurrence where our home almost caught fire, we became suspect and discovered this model grill is subject to a partial recall due this specific issue. Lowes was incredibly helpful once we discovered the recall however BBQTEK refused to honor or acknowledge the recall of their product unless it could be specifically identified as being a part of a particular manufacturer’s serial number string and date code. Due to cleaning efforts and weathering the label on our particular grill was worn and torn so only the model number is identifiable. This complaint has been added since apparently the entire product line is deficient not only part of it as in the present recall. We encourage any one that has purchased this model grill to file a complaint to expand the recall to the entire product line.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame Barbeque grill
My Perfect Flame Barbeque grill went up in flames. While preheating, flames started going very high out of the unit and soon the fire was out of control. The wires and the gas line were completely engulfed by the fire. Thankfully my patio is made of cement and we had a calm day with no wind. That doesn’t happen very often in central Oklahoma. A strong south wind would have caused untold troubles with a fire that size.
In January 2010, I received replacement burners and lid and replaced those parts as part of a recall. My model number is SLG2008A. It was difficult to replace the burners, since the bolts that held the original burners were completely void of any heads to put a screwdriver on. Apparently the replacement parts only lasted about as long as the original parts did.

My Perfect Flame SLG Series Gas Grill caught on fire (a very substantial and dangerous fire that melted/deformed the metal components of the lid, burners, and side shelving and melted the propane gas line). This occurred AFTER I had already performed the steps outlined in the recall Release # 10-043 to address this potential problem. Despite installing the “improved” parts, a very dangerous fire occurred that destroyed my grill.

No one hurt Made May 3, 2012, sent to the company May 11, 2012, published by CPSC May 25, 2012
The product, in the report: This is a four burner, Perfect Flame double lid gas grill. It is metallic gray. Three burners are located under one lid, a fourth burner is located under a separate lid that can be lit apart from the three burners. the bottom portion of the grill is a gray cover. The tank is accessed from the rear of the grill.
The Perfect Flame gas grill gas burners all began to significantly deteriorate over the course of three years of ownership/usage, with holes in the burner tubes that were approximately 3-4 inches in length and 1/2 to 3/4 in. in height. This problem was seen in other Perfect Flame models that were the subject of a recall by the company; however, this product was not.
The deterioration of all four burners allows large quantities of gas to escape unregulated, leading to large flames and the potential for fires inside the grill and outside. On several occasions, the bottom of the grill would catch fire. The flames on two of the four burners, when gas was left on medium, would rise approximately 6 inches to 1 ft. above the surface of the grill.
As was previously mentioned, the grill is approximately 3-4 years old. It has been kept covered the entire time of ownership.
The Perfect Flame grill was subject to prior recalls, with the SLG model being recalled for similar reasons (November 18, 2009, Release #10-043). The GAC, which I own, was subject to a recall for different reasons, although my date code (LO) is outside of the recall range.

Perfect Flame brand gas grille. Model # 720-0522. The gas burners are catching on fire inside the housing where the gas valves are located. The rubber and plastic inside this housing are burning up. At first, only one burner was doing this. So I stopped using it. Then I was having ingniting troubles. I would have to turn the knob on and off a few times to get the other burners to ignite. When they would ignite the flame that would light the burners, the flame would not shoot out far enough to properly ignite the burners. Eventually all of the burners started to catch fire inside the valve housing. In each of these incicents, I was aware enough to turn the burners off before catching the entire grille on fire.

I have a Perfect Flame SLG2006C. Today I started the grill as I normally do to let it preheat for about 3 minutes or so. I came outside to find it spewing flames out of the sides and back. I could barely get close enough to throw the lid open and start soaking it with my hose to try and get the fire out. After letting it cool down to check the damage, it is pretty much ruined. The lid and burner area are completely warped and mis-shapen. It also burned and damaged part of the railing on my deck.
I was not aware of any recall until now.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame Double Lid Four Burner Gas Grills model number GAC 3615. Serial number 050627
I use my grill that I bought at lowes in May of 2008 regularly. The description is as follows;Perfect Flame Double Lid Four Burner Gas Grills, model number GAC 3615 Serial number 050627. Since purchasing the grill, small flames are continuosly catching inside the grill which I thought were normal as the flames were not extremely big, I tought it was greese and fat falling from the items I was cooking, however, on 2 occasions, the grill completely caught fire and I had to throw water on it quickly. Had I not been around it, the damages could of been significant as the flames were everywhere. Again, I may of been naive but did not report it as I thought debris from old food was the cause, until I went on the lowes website and saw that my grill’s model number was recalled. Initially and incredibely, when I visited the store, the manager refused to do anything about it as they said my serial number did not match the parameters of the recall. I then called the lowes customer service to explain my situation, they said the store should of accepted my grill, that is where we stand now. I am not sure if they will take it back, but regardless, I wanted to let you know, the exact description of the recall is what happened to me in and it was preety scary.

PerfectFlame Model GAC3615 four burner LP gas grill purchased early 2008 at Lowes. While pre-heating the grill on outdoor patio, went inside to kitchen for food. Upon return, grill was in flames -- shooting out the side. ‘melted’ the interior coating and weakened all internal parts in the cook box. Was able to turn off grill by knobs and fire went out on its own. Originally assumed I overheated it during the pre-heat cycle and abandoned grill use for a while. In trying to find replacement parts today discovered the grill KX 021139 serial number was part of a huge recall -- found info on cpsc.gov. Have never even used the side cook area. Afraid to do so now. Have stopped using it and will try to get refund from Lowes. Thanks.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame gas grill
while preparing to grill some steaks, I started my “perfect flame” grill, model # SLG2008A. while waiting for grill to reach cooking temp (350*), grill started blazing out of control. I could not reach the bottle to turn the gas off, so I grabbed my water hose and doused the flames enough so I could reach the gas knob without getting burned, and turned the gas off. I still had to douse the grill with the water hose to extinguish the fire. The fire burned all the paint off the grill and burned the gas hose in half. It also burned the flame covers above the burners. If I had not been close when this happened, my whole house could have burned to the ground since the grill was under my covered porch.

The product, in the report: Free standing Perfect Flame Gas Grill
Our Perfect Flame Grill, SLG2007B, went up in flames like a torch on June 16, 2011. We purchased the grill at Lowe’s in Santa Fe, NM in April 2007. The grill had been recalled in 2009 and we filed the proper paperwork and received the new hood and grill burners which we installed in January 2010. We used the grill two or more times a week, mostly to grill vegetables and some lean meat. When the right hand middle burner was turned to start the whole thing erupted in flames two feet tall and continued to flare upward. The grill had a propane tank which was three quarters full. The house caught fire and the porch, garage, and most of the roof burned. Four local volunteer fire departments arrived to put out the fire. Luckily we were both outside on the porch when this occured and we were not injured. However, our youngest dog Julia ran into the house because of the scary extreme noise which sounded like a jet engine blow torch and made noises like the tank was going to explode at any moment. The firemen had to rescue her from the back of the house which had filled with smoke by the time they got there. We have excessive damage to our home and major smoke damage to all the contents.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame Barbeque Grill with searing box
I have a Perfect Flame Barbeque Gill with Sear Chamber, Model E3520-LPG, Serial E15033608. I attempted to use the Searing chamber 3 times in a row to see what was wrong. It was never used before. When I turn it on the gas backs out of the searing element and fire ignites at the gas switch used to turn it on. Flames pop out all around and under the unit. I looked at the unit and all connections are good, no leaking gas etc. The design of the unit is very dangerous someone could get killed. I’m concerned I took it apart 3 times to find a problem and it is definitely a design flaw. When I purchased this from Lowes I spent $650.00 for it and feel ripped off. I found numerous complaints on line and on the RipOffReport.com
UPDATE: West Side Grill came out on September 13, 2011 and gave my grill a complete going over. They tested every part of the grill. What they found was that the gas “orifice” that led to the sear burner had a spiders nest hiding inside. This caused gas to back up and create my unsafe condition. They used a tiny little cork screw brush and pulled it out. Clearly this is a situation that had nothing to do the way the grill was built.

The product, in the report: Perfectflame Gas Grill, Dual Lid
I was grilling kobe beef steaks when the grill caught fire. Immediatly I removed the propane tank and called the fire department. Reason? This grill had been manufactured with magnesium metals in the the structure. I am a metals specialist in my job and am very familiar with what and how magnesium burns. Also, unfortunatly, I do not have an extinguisher at home for metal fires. I did register this product and did not receive a recall notice. Total bummer. I am going to see about taking legal action as the product description did not say it was made from a combustable metal, not to mention all the toxic smoke all about my house.

The product, in the report: 4 burner propane grill, 2 sided, Perfect Flame model 3615
The propane tank connector started leaking very badly from where the fitting for the propane tank goes into the hose. There is no signs of wear or abuse on the hose, as it is located under the grill and is only touched when changing out propane tanks. This will be my 3rd propane tank on said grill and has just been replaced. Luckily I noticed the leak and had not started the grill. I saw the recalls on this grill when looking for replacement parts and wanted to notify you of this problem. I have an LX date for the grill so it is not in the other recalls.
The connector was on properly, and was also double checked. The leak was not where the tank connects, but behind the tank connection.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame Model SLG-2007B Gas Grill 4 burner with a side burner. Aluminum grill.
We own a Perfect Flame Model SLG-2007B gas grill. On July 12, 2011, we were cooking chicken on the grill when we noticed more smoke than normal coming from the grill. We saw that the entire side of the lid was on fire. The METAL lid. The flame was bright white from burning so hot. It was literally melting away. It only took a minute or two before the entire side of the lid was gone. I had time to turn off the burners and remove the tank. Thankfully, the grill was on our patio made of brick. This would have been a different story if it were located on a wood deck. There were white hot pieces of melted metal falling to the patio.

Thick black smoke filled the air, a passer by stoped to see if my house was on fire. It was a scary experiance to say the least.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame outdoor four burner propane grill model SLG2008A
We own a perfect flame grill model SLG2008A and my husband recently started to examine the grill for another reason and noticed that the heating tubes had burned and rusted so bad that they could not even be removed to be replaced and that the grill was unsafe to cook on and would need to be thrown out. I started to search the internet to contact the company and let them know my frustration and disappointment as the grill was not that old and used very infrequently and was too expensive to have had this happen. This is when I saw recall information about another model and other complaints about this manufacturer of grill and was encouraged to report my issue as it could have turned into a dangerous situation if not caught in time for us.

Perfect Flame Gas Grill Model# 720-0522 Sold at Lows. Found the information on the recalls for this type of grill. We decided to inspect ours even though it was not on the recall list just to be safe. Upon inspection one burner was rusted and came apart and the other four burners alsost completely disentagrated upon touching them. We do not use this grill often mainly just for special occasions during the summer. It sat on the back pool deck covered at all times when not in use. We did have a fairly good size flare up in it the last time it was used and it scorched the lid. The lights inside has never worked beyond the first time we grilled on it.

My husband was grilling ribs on the barbeque. He flipped the ribs over and looked a couple minutes later the grill had smoke and flames shooting out. The right side of the grill lid was so hot it was totally orangish red. I ran for the hose and put the fire out, but it cracked the lid of the grill and melted the hose to the propane tank. Fortunately there was not a lot of fuel in the tank. It was very frightening and we are thankful that neither my husband nor I were injured and no damage was done to our home.

“Perfect Flame” Grill Model 720-0335
I bought this nice looking grill in June 2007. I used it for about a year and it started giving me problems. I started having burner issues with it and the grill started burning all of our food. It was hard to regulate the flame size and keep it at a consistant height. It would not do this all of the time, but about 30% of the time. Sometimes the flames would get REALLY big while cooking on the grill and the flames were hard to contain. I have had a few small fires on the grill that have scared me a little. I have 3 small kids that I would not even let get near me while cooking because I was scared of what might happen unexpectantly. Now, I am afraid to even use the grill because of the potential fire threat. The last few times I used it a few months ago, if I have one side on and I go to turn on the other side on, the flames in all the burners go from and inch or two down to about 2 cm. The grill won’t heat up and cook food properly. The burners were cleaned out and the grill is totally clean. I am afraid to use it anymore because it might explode or something. So.....I have a nice grill that I paid over $600 dollars for a grill that is a major fire hazard. It is a death box just looking for a place for an accident to happen. I would like my money refunded!
The grill was always cleaned after several uses to get rid of food and grime so it would not catch fire. This grill should be recalled and consumers refunded in full. They can even come pick mine up and have it back. NEVER will I buy another one of these grills.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame SLG2007A
I bought a Perfect Flame SLG2007A from Lowe’s a few years ago. A few weeks ago, the grill caught on fire and flames shot out the hole on the right side. The flames melted the plastic/molding on the right side of the lid and it is bubbled. The paint on the inside of the lid also peeled from the 800+ degree temperatures. It appears that the burners have deteriorated, but they still work. The flames burn much higher than they should. I just determined that there was a product recall and you indicated that you would still like incidents reported.
I turned the grill on and left it unattended for five minutes while I went upstairs. I came back down and the flames were shooting out the right side of the grill. The temperature gauge was at the maxumum. I threw water on the flames to get the fire out. There was also some bright glowing material that continued to glow after I put water on it. I put some more water on it and it stopped glowing. No injuries.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame GAC3615. Two Chamber Grill. My grill is not in the dates of the previous recall.
I was grilling and my grill caught on fire. The lid caught fire, the coating started to melt, the coating caught fire and it melted part of the framing on the grill.
I have tried to contact Lowes as well as Perfect Flame and I am not getting anything but problems.
I have provided them with 21 pictures of the grill.
The burner has a hole in it and this appears to be what caused the fire to start with.

The product, in the report: perfect flame 720-0522 Stainless Steel Propane Grill.
The burners on the grill are pealing apart at the rear of the grill. This appears to be the same issue other, already recalled models have had.

The product, in the report: Propane Grill
We purchased a Perfect Flame propane grill, Model Number GAC-3615, from Lowes in the summer of 2008. The grill has always been kept clean and covered, but I noticed that the burners were beginning to deteriorate and it was beginning to heat unevenly. On Monday, 5/9/11, we lit the grill to pre-heat it. Within 5 minutes smoke was pouring from under the lid of the grill and flames were coming from the back of the lid at least 18 inches above the lid. We immediately turned off the burners, and a neighbor with a fire extinguisher ran over and helped put out the fire before it could spread to our deck and/or house. Upon inspection afterward, it actually appears that the lining of the cooking chamber and lid may have been burning, and metal from both has peeled away from the intense heat while the fire was burning. I contacted Lowe’s and have been offered a replacement grill.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame Gas Grill
A couple years ago I purchased a Perfect Flame 3-Burner LP Gas Grill Model SLG2007A and am having problems and a concern. I did check with the trouble shooting tips and did see that there is a problem “Inside of lid is Peeling - Like Pant Peeling”. I understand that but it appears that it is more than grease build up? It appears that there is a black coat of something applied to the inside of the lid and that is peeling from the stainless lid itself, can you please confirm that there isn’t a coating on the inside of the lid? The stuff is flaking and appears is falling off onto the items I am cooking? I have attached a few pictures to be sure. Additionally the burners are very poor quality and I am having problems with those as well. Thanks please advise that my grill is 100% safe.
