The product, in the report: camping stove regulator fire came out of side
While on recent camping trip I was cooking breakfast when the regulator on my camping stove started to have flames come out of the side I quickly shut it off at stove and blew flames out then disconnected the regulator. My first thoughts was that I might have cross threaded the small propane bottle so I reinstalled the bottle and heard the gas escapeing out of the regulator top. I Quickly removed bottle. after I got home I decided to recheck to see if it was something minor that caused problem I found after disensembling unit that it has a rubber O shaped washer that sit on top of a (valve stem type device ) the rubber washer had a hole in it so that is where the gas leaked pass.
I have contacted the company to see if they knew of such a problem, I’am sill getting information back but thought if I had this happen what could happen to some other family it could cause a big fire or even explode if not caught quickly.
