The product, in the report: Oklahoma joes longhorn combo charcoal/gas smoker and grill model number 15202029 serial number 50715609
I have a oklahoma joes longhorn combo grill the lp regulator is defective. The model number of regulator is RA328. Model number of grill is 15202029. I have owned this grill for 7 months. I have noticed from day one that the flames are orange instead of blue and hard to adjust its either way low flame or way high flame there is no adjustment in between. A few times during use it has so much lp gas going through lines it will not light. On june 28 2018 I went to light the grill and it almost blew up flames went everywhere and i was almost burned. I called car-broil with no luck they emailed me instructions on resetting the regulator. I tried this process 5 times with no success of fixing it. I only almost blew myself up each time. I called back and explained the regulator was defective. They argued and said I did not follow reset directions clearly. After 20 minutes of arguing the agreed to send me another regulator identical to the defective one if I pay shipping. I am concerned with this part since it is the same part manufactured in china. This is a safety issue and after almost blowing myself up several times following their instructions I probably will not use this grill with this part. I notice the same regulator manufactured by the same company with a part number [REDACTED] has been recalled due to the same issue of allowing to much lp gas to enter the grill at a high pressure. I really don’t know what to do since they will not assist me and send me a good quality part that is safe to use. I hope to get this resolved before someone gets burned or killed or before property is destroyed.
