The product, in the report: Gas Grill

On June 30th, 2012 the caller turned his grill on, cooked food for party then turned valves off.

Did not notice right away that the heat just kept rising, after about five minutes later he saw heat coming from grill, went to it and viewed thermometer which was reading over 500 degrees.

He looked underneath and saw that the rubber hose was in flames and leaking propane.

He then shut the valve off to the propane also, the flames then extinguished but caller took the hose and sprayed the entire grill down with water.

July 5th, 2012 He contacted the manufacturer via phone and email, spoke with female named [REDACTED] who told him this grill is not on warranty, not on recall so they could not help him other than to sell him the replacement parts needed to repair grill.

He discovered through this contact that the rubber hose on his grill is now replaced with a flexible metal hose.

He states that he is an engineer and that if the rubber hose was replaced by metal hose then it has been replaced due to an issue of some sort with this product.

Caller would like the public notified of the danger, his grill repaired or replaced at manufacturer expense.
