The product, in the report: Self standing Gas grill Model# SLG2007A Serial# KO 084940 Date Mfr: C KO

2019: The Consumer noticed that the grill was hotter in the rear than it was in the front, when cooking. 7/2020: The consumer was inspecting the grill, because of the issue above and he found cracks in 3 burner tubes and all of them have cracks in the rear. The consumer tapped the burner with his fingernail and pieces of it fell apart. The consumer searched the Internet and found CPSC Recall# 10-043 and his model was on the list. He dialed the Firm’s Recall Hotline: (888) 840-9590, but the automated message indicates that this number is no longer in service and then the call is disconnected. There have not been any injuries or property damage outside of the grill. The consumer also checked the grills lid and found his lid should be replaced as well. The consumer grabbed some of the burner’s covers and they crumbled in his hand. If he is still eligible, the consumer would like to have the recall remedy applied to his grill.

The product, in the report: Perfect Flame gas grill

I was using the Perfect Flame gas grill to make dinner for my family. There are 4 knobs across the front pf the grill, the knob 2nd from the left sounded as if the propane was getting low so I shut the knob off and just continued making the burgers. When I was done I left two of the burners on low so I could burn off the cheese, as I have done this many times before and then cleaned the grill with the brush. My daughter said the grill was on fire and I walked out the door and lifted the lid and sprayed a little water on it and the flame at first went down but then it came back even bigger, and thats when I realized the flame wasn’t in the grill it was on fire underneath the grill. I could not turn off one of the knobs because the fire was shooting a flame out. I looked down under it so I could shut the gas off but that’s where I realized the grill was on fire from the line of the grill to the propane tank. I kept a steady stream of water on it as I had just called for my husband to come quick and he just instructed me to keep the water spraying and he stuck his hand in where the fire was to shut off the propane. The whole right side of the grill is charred and melted.

The product, in the report: Gas grill three burners

The gas in the front burners ignite a very huge flame. When taking the grating and the burners apart she noticed that the back of the middle burner had a big hole in it.

The firm was contacted on 6/20/2011 and she was advised that her model number was affected by the recall (see release# 10-043) they would be sending out paper work that she would be required to fill out and mail back into the firm.

She has discontinued the use of the grill and will await the replacement parts for the one she has but states that she may eventually purchase another grill.
