The product, in the report: Grill Mark Stainless steel bar burner
I replaced the original burner on my [REDACTED] [REDACTED]Bar-B-Que about 18 months ago with a Grill Mark stainless steel BAR burner. Part Number 81282 which I purchased at the local ACE hardware. I was cooking on the Bar-B-Que when suddenly the outside of the BBQ was engulfed in flames. Turning off the gas by using the burner control knobs on the front of the BBQ stopped the flames. There were no injuries or property damage. The burner was a “universal” burner so they used an accordion type gas pipe between the burner control and the burner. This type of gas pipe was used so it could be bent to fit any type of Bar-B-Que. Upon inspection I found that the gas pipe had broke at the connection on the bottom of the burner.
