The product, in the report: Fire King Grill sold at Home Depot 1001542551 item number BG2614B model
We purchased a Fire King Grill from Home Depot in September. The grill was not working, and since the grill was new we assumed that it was a problem with the tank. After replacing the tank the grill worked. We used it about 8 times before it caught on fire and we had to call the fire department. We now know that it was the connector, we visually checked the grill many times, by many different people and there was nothing wrong that we could see. The connector was faulty not the tank- it was obviously terrifying. We called the fire department after we had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out and then the fire department arrived and checked out the situation. The valve was leaking propane and when the grill was lit it caught on fire. It was extremely dangerous, and it should have never happened! I want to make sure this does not continue to happen it could have caused great harm to my family, neighbors and property.
