The product, in the report: DynoGlow DGP483CRP
On June 7, 2020 my LP grill caught on fire due to gas leaking on the factory assembled gas line assembly. The leak was at a joint *between* the regulator and the screw on connector. Again, this is a factory assembled assembly.
While the rest of the grill is consumer assembled, I had conducted a leak test on the initial use with no problems found. The grill was purchased 2/29/20 and assembled on 3/1/20. Between that date and final use on 6/7/20, the grill was used maybe 10 or 12 times. It was garage kept and cleaned including the grease tray when not in use.
The grill was a DynoGlo model DGP483CRP serial number 194BFA1189.
I have contacted the parent company of DynoGlo with no response yet. Contact was made on 6/21/20 via their online web form.
I put the fire out with a fire extinguisher kept in my garage. Unfortunately after putting out the fire, leaking gas could clearly be heard and smelt. While attempting to shut off the propane tank, I burned my right thumb and two fingers as the tank was still very hot. I finally shut off the gas by using an oven mitt.
While I was able to return the grill to the store I purchased it at, I have pictures of everything.

No one hurt Made Oct 9, 2019, sent to the company Nov 1, 2019, published by CPSC Nov 18, 2019
The product, in the report: black and silver five burner gas grill
I lit my dyna-glo gas grill last night to grill. I set all five burners to low-medium. I went inside the house to get two items. I came out and noticed flames inside the closed grill. As I walked to the grill, smoke began billowing out. I was able to reach under the grill and shut off the propane tank. I also shut off all five burners. No food was on the grill. It burned a minute or so longer and slowly went out. I never raised the lid. the grill is burnt up.

Emergency room Made May 3, 2017, sent to the company May 11, 2017, published by CPSC May 25, 2017
The product, in the report: Dyna-Glo 5 Burner LP Gas Grill with Side Burner Model# DGF510SBP
On April 15th, 2017 at approximately 4:30 pm est, my brand new Dyna-Glo 5-Burner LP Gas Grill with Side Burner Model# DGF510SBP caught on fire and burned my home. The grill was purchased less than 30 days prior at the Home Depot in Cape Coral, Florida. This was our first time not cooking chicken on the grill and I believe our third or fourth time using the grill. The incident began when my wife placed 6 homemade burgers on the grill on a lower heat and closed the lid. She turned around to situate the vegetables to place on the grill for cooking when we noticed flames coming out all sides of the grill which caught the regulator and propane tank on fire. The high flames immediately ignited our house windows, ceiling, walls, door and other nearby items aflame. As the propane hose hangs directly under the side burner, next to the “hole for viewing the flame”; flames spewed onto the hose through this hole causing the hose to melt igniting the propane tank into a ball of fire. The fire shooting from the hose and flaming propane tank caused first degree burns on my arms and hands, as well as more of my hair was singed. In addition, I suffered injuries to my neck, shoulder and back trying to put it out. My property suffered in excess of $10,000 in damages as the insurance company is still assessing the damages.
