The product, in the report: Coleman portable propane gas camp grill/stove+ About 130 sq in Has a single pan burner on left (as facing unit) and a grill on the right. 20,000 BTU burners with instant start and wind block
First use just out of the box of a Coleman Camping Grill/Stove+, followed directions for setup an d how to line bottom to ease cleanup. Cooked food on skewers, removed cooked food and turned off gas supply. When I went after dinner to clean up I discovered that the burner tube and the cooking grate had melted into a metal and aluminum glob. The burner tube was completely destroyed and the center portions of the cooking grate/grill was totally melted.
Concern is twofold: 1) Coleman camping products should be reliable; 2) If I had not turned off the propane gas supply before the meltdown the product failure could have caused injury from burning or possible explosion of the pressurized gas supply tank or, at a minimum, could have caused a fire.
