No one hurt Made Nov 24, 2012, sent to the company Dec 14, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 9, 2013
The product, in the report: Metal 6 leg swing set
Playsafe Manchester swing set. We noticed the company recalled swing sets just like ours that were manufactured in 2011. We bought ours before that and it is doing the exact same thing: the swing seats are cracking and have to be removed for saftey reasons. They should not be selling these swing seats as they deteriorate in the sun.

Hurt, no treatment Made Sep 16, 2011, sent to the company Sep 23, 2011, published by CPSC Oct 17, 2011
The product, in the report: Play Safe Sheffield 6 leg swingset
I bought a Playsafe Sheffield 6 leg swingset April 4, 2010 from Toys R Us,and installed it May 2010. One year later in August 2011 my kids were playing on the swings when one swing sling broke in half causing one child to fall and cry. He complained of a headache and got the wind knocked out of him. Upon closer inspection of the other swing sling I found it to be cracker half way though which could cause injury to the thighs due to the swing pinching as well as causing a fall. I promptly removed the swings and am awaiting the Playsafe Sheffield company to respond to my complaint

Emergency room Made May 22, 2011, published by CPSC Jun 14, 2011
The product, in the report: Playsafe Verona II 4-Leg Swing Set MODEL NUMBER: 22-PS110 BRAND: Playsafe COLOR: Sage/Blue Blue/Blue-White Fade/Red 6 Feet wave slide 2 blow-molded comfort swings 2-person glider Metal trapeze
My 2 year old son and his four year old brother were swinging on the teeter totter on the Playsafe Verona 2 swingset that we purchased 4 years ago.
The male and female bolts holding one of the bars on the swing to the bar of the set backed out. The swing fell apart breaking my 2 yearolds leg (tibia) and had my 4 year old hanging by the crotch. The 4 year old didn’t sustain serious injury.
I am very upset about this faulty design in the product. There was only about 4 or 5 threads that held this thing together. We are very thankful however that our sons didn’ t not sustain head injuries or even death because of this.
