The product, in the report: Backyard Discovery - Oxford Wooden Swing Set Model #6111 (Made in China)

After installing an Oxford Wooden Swingset Model #6111 from Backyard discovery, we had a birthday party for my son. The age of children ranged from age 3-7. The swingset is rated for children ages 3-10. On this swingset is a hard plastic “surfboard” that swings back and forth like a regular swing but there is no way to stop this swing once moving and it sits about 1 foot off the ground. Someone’s child is going to get killed. My son who is only 3 and another child who was only three was playing near the swingset and just missed getting hit in the head with this plastic board. Fortunately, we had two parents supervising the use of the swingset and one mother grabbed the two younger children and rolled them out of the way on the ground nearly getting hit with the board herself. If it had hit my son with the 7 year old swinging on it, I have no doubt it would have killed him. This is a very dangerous feature and should be recalled immediately before someone’s child is killed. It would kill an adult if it hit them in the head, you can imagine what it would do to a toddler. I immediately removed the surfboard swing and tossed it in the woods where it will remain until the dumptruck comes this week.
