The product, in the report: Little Dove 2-Pack Heavy Duty Swing Seats with 66-inch rust-resistant chains and quick-link connecting hardware, purchased through Amazon. The swing seats are black and are advertised for indoor/outdoor use with a 330-lb weight capacity. The set includes two swing seats, chains, and metal C-shaped/quick-link connectors used to attach the chains. The safety concern involves the supplied metal connectors, two of which have bent/deformed during normal use.
On October 6, 2026, my daughter, who weighs approximately 120 lb, was using a Little Dove heavy-duty swing purchased through Amazon on September 27, 2026. The swing is advertised with a 330-lb weight capacity. While she was swinging normally, one of the supplied metal connectors bent/opened, causing the swing to suddenly give way. The chain struck/scraped her arm and leg, and she fell onto a tree root, resulting in abrasions to her arm, knee, and leg. This is the second supplied connector from this set to bend or fail. After the first incident, my husband specifically checked the remaining hardware to ensure the connectors were properly installed and completely screwed closed. We have stopped using the swing and retained the failed hardware. We also have photographs of the connector, injuries, and product listing. I am concerned that other swings sold with the same hardware may present a similar hazard. I would like the hardware investigated and, if a safety issue is identified, previous purchasers notified and provided with appropriately rated replacement hardware. My concern is preventing another person from being injured.
