The product, in the report: G TALECO GEAR Toddler Swing Set with Canvas Cushion Seat, Baby Swing Outdoor Playset, Age 6-24 months, Gray Brand G TALECO GEAR Material Beech, Metal, Cotton Weight 14.96 lb Dimensions 61.02 x 37.01 x 61.02 in Pieces 1 Assembly req Y Number of swings 1 Items included Swing Frame, Swing Seat Condition New Swing style Toddler, Belt
We purchased a G TALECO toddler swing set with canvas seat from Walmart.com in May 2025, assembled it as instructed, and used the product with no issues about 10 times. In August 2025, one of the ropes holding up the front of the swing severed at the connection point with my 23 pound son in it. This would have made sense with an old rope or an overly used product, but neither are true. The other ropes were frayed after this rope severed. No other parts of the swing appeared damaged. Due to the rope breaking, my son fell forward and hit his head on the patio causing bruising and an abrasion. Since he was belted in, he didnt experience the full force of the fall. He was monitored by an adult who was sitting in front of him, however this happened quicker than someone could respond to break his fall. Were reporting this so others are aware of the safety hazard and the product can be removed until the issue is resolved.
