The product, in the report: Wooden Swing Set
Wooden swing set was purchased 14 months prior to this 07-25-2011 report. Set up around May 2010 but within 3 to 4 weeks after being set up callers noticed that the screws were loosening, boards were becoming warped. Two children have played on this set; neither is at their grandparent’s home all the time. Granddaughter is 1 1/2yrs old and now weighs around 25 lbs, the grandson is 4 1/2 and weighs around 45 lbs. Over the past year although screws have been tightened multiple times they continue to loosen and the boards keep warping. Boards that are warping are the legs to the set and the worst is the main top beam which is supposed to be a 2 x 4 but is believed to be smaller. (Has not been measured) Caller is reporting that this swing set is a very dangerous swing set, his grandchildren are small but if purchasers had larger children they could become harmed very badly. He doesn’t believe that it is safe for his grandchildren as small as they are and would very much like to either be reimbursed or have this swingset replaced by a stronger, safer swingset at manufacturer expense.
