The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: We bought a Creative Playthings swings set for over $2000 and it has since rusted and splintered many times. As a result, I have had to replace much of the hardware and sand and even cover up some of the areas with foam to prevent my children or any others from being injured. On the most recent repair visit, their assembly tech admitted they use “cheap” hardware. After one of his colleagues offered me a $500 refund on the phone, the CEO has reneged and is now claiming that his only offer is to come to my house and pull the set out of my yard and give me a full refund. While this may seem reasonable, it will not only cost him more to do this than what I was offered (and that I will happily accept, if only as an act of good faith), it will also ruin my yard and cost me more to make the repairs. I have contacted the AG, BBB, and other consumer protection entities and have notified other parents, but I hope to do more so things like this do not happen to others.

First aid Made Apr 12, 2012, sent to the company Apr 20, 2012, published by CPSC May 11, 2012
The product, in the report: Creative Playthings wooden playset, Chesapeake model, as seen here: http://creativeplaythings.com/wooden-swing-sets/chesapeake-wooden-swing-set
Our 10 year old Creative Playthings deluxe wooden playset unexpectedly broke while children were swinging. Top support beam from which swings are suspended basically disintegrated (apparent interior dry rot) and came crashing down on top of 7 year old girls who were swinging. All CP playsets come with warranties - the minimum being 10 years. But even if this were out of warranty, I would think that what happened was beyond the realm of “normal” wear and tear. The girls literally could’ve been killed, and were lucky to escape only with bumps and bruises.
