The product, in the report: Vogelzang Pellet Stove Model Vg 5790

Purchased a Vogelzang Pellet Stove model vg5790 in January 2016. Since then the auger sheared off, pins sheared and then the igniter went out causing us to have to manually light the pellet stove, then the blower went out. Called the manufacturer and was told to CUT a extension cord and use the wires to direct connect wires to live 110 wires to auger motor to check. How smart and safe is this. I went one to vogelzang international corp on Facebook and others are having the same issues and told the same things. I was also told it was because I’m burning Pellets well it’s a pellet stove that’s what you are supposed to burn right? Prior to this happening my home filled up with smoke and flames were high in the pellet stove and I unplugged the stove and it kept going. This pellet stoves are defective and unsafe. Along with technical support telling people to cut extension cords and directly connecting live wires!!! These need to be recalled and the company needs to make things right with consumers.
