I purchased this product November 13th, 2013 - I was smoking turkey and chicken for the holidays - the unit had been smoking a while and all seemed to be going well - until a fire shot out the right side of the smoker - the entire inside was on fire -I WAS IN A PANIC MODE -It was a huge fire. I am elderly and thought I must have done something wrong. I closed the air hole off to suffocate the fire. It took the fire 15 or more minutes to burn out. The unit smoked the entire patio - I let it cool and cleaned the unit - put the cover on it and placed in the garage, where it has sat now for 2 years. I am afraid to use it, and felt robbed.
