The product, in the report: I’m very concerned about consumer safety as the US Stove Company refuses to acknowledge the electrical wiring as the issue. Safety and Health Issues: King Pellet Stove 5502M 1. When unit was installed our house was filled with smoke from the initial burn 2. December 2015 - Unit caught on fire inside the piping causing our home to completely overwhelmed with smoke. 3. March 2016 - Explosian with fire shooting out of the back and sides of the unit 4. March 2016 - Fire department had to be contacted to assist with the stove burning and helping stop the fire. 5. Dec. 21, 2016 - The unit exploded with fire coming out the back and sides at approximately 12 pm 6. Dec. 21, 2016 - Contacted the fire department immediately 7. Fire chief determined that the unit had to be removed from home as it was on fire. 8. Informed by law the faulty unit could not be re-installed 9. Contacted the manufacture and tried to talk to representatives for 3 hours. I was hung up on twice and then told that it was installed incorrectly based on photos taken after the unit was removed. 10. The company refuses to acknowledge the electrical issues with this faulty equipment and other consumers need to be warned.
